September has been a down month for training though, so I'm a little worried about that. It has just been crazy with all three kids doing so many activities, I haven't had a lot of time to get my runs in. Not to mention, it's dark at 6:30 p.m. now. I've been doing a lot of this:
Big sissy!
and this:
manimal!
and some more of this:
Yes! That is Princess in the all white shin guards!!
Playing a sport!!!
So unfortunately, there hasn't been much time for this:
Not the old lady with flabby skin look--no, there's plenty of time for that. I mean the running part. So we'll have to see what happens. I'm not going to have a cheering squad for this one, I'm flying solo. I have to be there at the ass crack of dawn and then Big Sissy has her first AAU basketball game an hour in the opposite direction at 9:30 a.m. If I run like the wind and leave right after, I should be able to make her second game. That will be my motivation. Plus, it looks like it's going to rain. Figures. Get that shit done and get the hell out of there. That is my mantra for this race.
See you all on Monday after I am a half marathon finisher!

I ran that 1/2 a number of years ago and found it to be a good race. The rain possibility is a bummer, but you'll do great I'm sure.
If you're feeling uncertain about your training of late, having a Plan B is also a good idea. That way if you should slip a bit in pace, it doesn't feel like you blew it.
Have fun!!
Good luck! That is some good motivation to get done! I can't wait to read about how it goes!
I ran it last year and the weather was perfect. I missed my first sub 2 hour by seconds! I hope you have a great time!
You won't be alone at your race. I will be there with you in spirit. Go git 'er done!
Good luck in your half! Jealous of you ladies who get to race in Maine.....It's going to be great. I'll look for your report on Monday.
What time are you heading down? Just curious if maybe I could meet you in Brunswick and catch a ride? :) Getting excited for tomorrow yet?
